is there a tutorial on writing Plugins?

i'm looking for something that will 'read' from a txt/ini file......

any sugguestions, or if anyone know where i can get one?

i have absolutly no programing knowledge whatsoever, could you tell me what program etc i need to be able to write a Plugin?

i tried downloading a demo of Delphi earlier, but it was too much hassle having to fill out forms telling them my inside leg measurement and downloading 3 or 4 different files etc - i prefer a simple life......lol

I'm sorry but programming knowledge is required to write a plugin - unless, you're good at getting other people to do the programming for you!

Can You be more specific specific about the "read ini" is there a specific ini file that you want to read?
what info you want to retrieve from the file?



I can't promise but if it's something easy I will help you to start developing your first plug in (however you have to be patient if you have no coding experience)

it's my 'player.ini' file from Grand Prix Legends....

it contains the best laptimes for the different cars at different tracks...

i would like the [20x4] LCD to show the time and date, and the best lap times for the different cars at the track i'm using.....

OK I think that the plug in is ready for use (in a stable state)

You can download it here http://users.panafonet.gr/networkoff/gpl.rar please test it and give me your opinion.

Report any bug within 24 hours otherwise consider this plugin as discontinued.

this because I have no time to develop a plugin that is not a public release

However I can supply you the source code (.NET code) and help you if you like to add more features on this plugin.

I suggest you to use it with the "enallax" plugin, can be found on my site http://users.panafonet.gr/networkoff/indexsmartie.htm, to alter two values in the same screen

i've read the readme's - i have the msvcr71.dll

You have to install the latest .NET framework
