LCD Smartie controlled Aspect Teleset

Anyone who works or has worked in a call center has probably seen one of these Telesets at one time or another. They have 2x40 HD44780 displays (no backlight) that can be hacked to work with LCD smartie. This one also uses the backlight control line to illuminate the queue warning light when I have mail. These things are STUPID CHEAP on eBay. Me and some guys at work got a lot of 4 of them for a grand total of $20USD including shipping. I'm slowly considering what I want to do with the rest of the lights and buttons on the keypad as we speak. Once you strip the "Teleset II Control Board" out of the phone, there's a TON of room for wiring it up, and a pin header provides easy access to the lines for the LEDs and buttons on the keypad board. The LCD itself has a nice long lead on it too. The one I got was missing a couple buttons, but for $5 I'm not going to complain.
