Noritake CU20045SCPB-T23A VFD and Winamp SpecAnalyzer

Post by ChainSOV »

after days of searching, I finally found a software that works with my T23A, its lcd smartie ;)

I connected it thru the serial port and got it to work thanks to HyperEm1's instructions

the only thing that doesnt work is the winamp's plugin spectrum analyzer, no wonder, as the test driver doesnt support custom characters.

however, noritakes text table already has a bar-like thingy in its katakana font that would at least allow a left<->right analyzer

I tried
$dll(winamp,1,4x10,r#0)$Chr(240)$Chr(241)$Chr(242)$Chr(243)$Chr(248)
but it doesnt seem to eat the characters as parameters to barstyle0, it just prints them after the analyzer.
same with 8 params

so, is there a way to force the winamp plugin to use font chars instead of customs?
or to teach him, which command to use to feed my display with custom chars/overcome this limitation of the test driver?

thanks for any input ;)

Unfortunately there is no official solution to this....
You can try to tranlate the custom character to katakana chars with some character replacement plugin but this is real "madness"... and I'm not sure that you can succesfully do it
