Hi all, this is my first post, thanks for a great program.
but i have a little problems that perhaps the community can
solve for me.
After approx. half an hour of starting smartie, my cpu usage by smartie goes to approx 50%, for approx 5 mins. then drops to almost 0%, but then goes back up to the 50% mark after a minute or so, sometimes longer.
I am only displaying the time on the top row and computer name on bottom.
any suggestions would be great, thanks.
I am using parallel port 378 with a 2 x 16 display on a D-VINE case.
thanks

In my testing I have noticed that the RSS mechanism is constantly trying to connect to websites, even when you don't have any listed on your screen. I'm not exactly sure why this is, but it could possibly be causing your reported CPU usage. I haven't noticed this phenomenon myself yet, but 50% of my CPU usage would be extremely large.
I would check the actual config.ini itself and remove any lines for checking RSS feeds or POP email accounts. These run constantly in the background, and if they aren't needed, they shouldn't contain anything (I know that there is a fake email account in there by default, which is checked periodically).
