2004a lcd & win 7

Post by Pipes »

I am a newbie to these LCD's here, I run windows 7 32bit. I tried my best to build a cheep LCD (white on blue 20x4) for fun, but all i can get out of it is random white blocks, or blinking underlines. I have tried installing port IO and then port95. I'm sure something is not quite right.

the schematics I have used

*as a new user i had to remove the urls to the images*

I have tripple checked the wiring and could not find any unwanted bridges or wires going to the wrong place according to the schematics. I have used a protoboard for the two pots, for the power i removed the pins from a old molex and moved them to the 5v position.
