I'm curious if LCDsmartie already supports this port. Would it be possible to use Media Center on Windows 7 have LCDsmartie light up a LED connected to the ground and recording_led pins?

Support for HTPC header on Intel boards?
I've just upgraded my Win7-based MC with a new Intel DH61AG which comes with a "htpc" labeled header on the mainboard which I've never seen before. The manual states that there is a dedicated "recording_led" pin as part of this htpc header:
