Automatic backlight on and off

Post by manekinen »

Hi everybody :)
I'm using lcd2usb device with standard HD44780 LCD and lcd2usb.dll library. In lcdsmartie, in "Actions" tab, in "output" window, there are "Backlight(0/1)" and "BacklightToggle" commands, and they work like a charm. Is there any variable that i can check, to setup "if then" condition for automatic on and off backlight with startup and shutdown of lcdsmartie? I mean some variable that holds information, that lcdsmartie is running or is shutting down. I've searched on lcdsmartie homepage and this forum, but nothing found. And yes, this is problem because some of the motherboards leave supply on USB after shutdown.

(and sorry for baaad english :) )

talk to lcd2usb developer to implement display off command, smartie uses it and sends it before shutdown.

Yes, i readed about that. But this will not be that simple.
But is there no way to add that function? Maybe in next version? Backlight is one thing, but please think how many actions we could setup with startup/shutdown and configure them as we want.
Regards.
