The LCD bit of it doesn't look like the standard dot-matrix alphanumeric LCDs that Smartie is designed for. At a guess, it's a custom LCD panel made specifically for the temp/fan monitoring unit.
Do you know what sort of layout the display has - what symbols, numbers etc it can display? Are there any product code numbers or model numbers printed on the circuit board? I think I see a white label in one of the pics.
