hi,
smartie works fine here but i miss the option to change manual the screens or themes...maybe strg + or other hotkeys. other software use it, why not lcd smartie ? is that not possible ? i haven`t found a plugin yet.
if not, are there a other way to manage the screens.

press "K" to change to the next screen. You can define you own keys and action in the "Actions" tab

K and L works but the smartie windows has to be in focus.....
do you know whether there are a way to do this without that the windows is in focus ?

Hotkeys not supported yet. Standard keyboard input is only supported when we have focus - the keys are hardcoded and not changable.
We also support keys on some LCDs (on some Crystalfontz displays and all Matrix Orbital displays) - the function operated by these keys is configurable via the events screen.
If you want hotkeys (using your standard keyboard) such as Control-Alt-K etc then please create a feature request (link available from the main website).

I have written a plugin for global Windows hotkeys. It works with the "Actions" of LCD Smartie so that one can configure the hotkeys to trigger any action, such as NextScreen, BacklightToggle etc.
Currently the plugin is in the state
"works for me" which means there's no documentation and configuration at all. Three hotkeys are hardcoded in the dll.
If anybody is interested I can send the current version of the plugin by email. Or is it possible to post the file here in the forum?
Feature suggestions are welcome, too. I think I should at least add some kind of configuration to make it more useful, perhaps the key codes could be read from an ini-file.

If you send me the dll and a simple txt I'll give it a try!
I also can upload it to my web space and create a link here in the forums!

You've got mail! I'll try to come up with an updated (more flexible) version in the next few days.
