I have a wierd problem. Ive built a 2x16 LCD and it works fine on all my older computers (P2 333Mhz) (P4 1900Mhz), both have parallell ports on the motherboard. I bought a PCI card and plugged it into my newer machine (P4 "570") and installed the drivers. I have installed both the port95 and lcd smartie 5.4. I did not get any respones on this machine on port "LTP1" so instead i used the "$7000" adress which i found in the hardware manager. (Found that out by surfing around the forum
)The wierd thing is that the LCD shows the correct text for about five seconds and then it goes back to the test message again. I have not found any way to get it to display my messages, unless i reboot and reinstall the software. The same problem occurs again the next time you try it... It runs for days on my other two computers!?
Is there anyone that recognise this problem?
