lcd smartie 5.4, hd44780 (4x20) and vista 32bit

I have used lcd smartie on win xp and there was everything ok. now I have vista and nothing display. it looks like lcd is turned off. I have installed port95nt and choose plugin hd44780. I have tried various startup parameters but still nothing. what should I check? what startup parameters should I enter?

I think that it is problem with port95nt. when I run portIO.exe and try to read or write something there is error: DLPORIO.SYS device driver not loaded. Port I/O will have no effect. how can I fix it?

Have you disabled the UAC?
Try to run the driver in compatibility mode (xp mode)

I have changed portIO.exe to run with compatibility mode and it is working now! thanks!

Hmmm I run it as a administrator. Then its work fine.
