EverestInfo plugin

Post by smstudiobg »

Well I made this plugin yesterday and I decided to register at the forum and post it. I know that there is another Everest plugin made before mine but there is a little difference. I made my plugin not to use .NET Framework. It has 3 functions (func 1 returns sensor label or value; func 2 returns the Everest version in long or short text string and func 3 is for credits). This plugin works without any problems on my computer using Windows XP SP2, LCD Smartie 5.3.3 and Everest 3.5. I hope it will work good on other Windows OS and with other Smartie versions. Everest version should be 3 or newer because of exporting sensor data to the Windows Registry. You can download the plugin DLL or the whole project with source code (source is written in Delphi7 Enterprise). In the zip files you will find explained everything about using the plugin. I hope you like this plugin.

Sorry for writing here almost month after your post. I don't visit this forum often.
The plug in I made reads values from Everest. Everest exports this values to the registry so I can make my plug in to read and display only them. That means I can't help you until Lavalys make Everest export the variables you need to the registry.

It's from EVEREST V. 4.20.1257 BETA, so compatibility with other versions is not guaranteed, but you can search in your everest help for extrernal aplications topic.

This is nice for multi cpu (/core) machines to get cpu usage value, because LCD Smartie shows only utilization of 1st core.

@Limbo , Thanks , i got a fix for it.

I've been wondering though. Not too savvy when it comes to LCD plugins and such...

I previously had this plugin running with Everest and could get temp readouts off my Nvidia cards.

I have now upgraded to 5000 series cards from ATI but cannot seem to get a temp readout at all.

I'm sorry , i CAN get a readout on my Logitech G15 , but not on my other external LCDs.

One is a 4x20 using matrix.dll. And the other is a VFD lisvfd.dll if this is any help.

I have the latest version of Everest , video drivers all that stuff , would you perhaps point me to where i could find a solution to this? :)

Thanks ,

JC "Neo_182"

PS: I've linked a picture of my desktop to show you what i mean...

The point is what Everest reads? you should find the sensors under the Preferences on Everest. There the sensor must be selected as well the enable writing values to Registry option.
Everest.jpg
As you can see everest allows only one GPU diode on my system...

Hey again Limbo!

I tried this to no avail.

It is strange that it used to work , and now it does not.

If anyone has a solution to this please contact me. :smt001

Neo, have you checked what information from your GPU is everest getting? Go to the Computer>Sensors.

Your version probably doesn't support the new GPU correctly. This happened to me as well, but after I changed motherboard I can not read GPU core temp correctly :( I asked lavalys and they said that this problem is new to them and to send them DUMPs, so I did and they said they will take care of this problem and fix in new versions ...
