Hi, I've have a LED display that connects to the PC using a parellel port. My PC only has a parellel connection on the (Asus) motherboard. I bought a parellel D-connector with a ribbon cable and connector to connent to the motherboard, However the connector female spacing was smaller to the pins on the motherboard. So I got hold of a connector of the right size (it was also the same size as the ribbon cable so fitted easily). I placed the ribbon cable in the connector and clamped it shut (which I believes cuts the cable). I connected this to the motherboard, trying to get it the right way round (but I've also tried it both ways). All I get is the display illuminated with 2 of the 4 matrix rows having all the 'dots' on. I've also loaded the parellel port fix for Win XP. The display works ok on another PC which a parellel port. I change the settings in Smartis as described in the forum, but no luck.
Any suggestions - HELP
Thanks
