Just some info

Have been using xbmc.dll for months with no trouble then a few days ago it would crash on launch.

Was running windows7 and microsoft updated net framework to 4.0 this is what broke it....Uninstalled ver 4.0 and back to normal.

Hope this helps,

Andy

Has anyone been able to get this plug-in to work in the newer Dharma builds of xbmc?

Thanks!

I have tried to get this to work... I used a fix from LCD Smartie's Forum to the bridge problem but now i'm faced with a "Object reference not set to an instance of an object"...

Any chance to get you to post the source for this again ?

Anybody had any luck getting this fixed? Would really like to see it run with my XBMC and LCD Smartie setup.

I see the second link for the source code is not working anymore.

if anyone fancies the latest build while running LCD Smartie, try XBMC 10.1, it worked for me instantly after enabling the webserver, with no problems whatsoever.

What OS are you running this under? I am using Windows XP Professional SP3, and upgrading to XBMC 10.1 I still get the "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" as soon as XBMC starts. Web server is enabled, and I can access it via browser without any username or password.

i am on XP Home sp3.

did you install over the old version or uninstall old version then install new one? i uninstalled then installed new.

it could also be that i am using the first plugin on page 1, have not bothered to use any of the newer ones...

Sweet! That was it! It works great now on my system. Thanks PhilYHC very much for that find. I had tried the first version with XBMC 10.0, but never did with 10.1.

Me very happy now! :D

I tried the first XBMC .dll linked at the start of this, and when i try to use it, LCD Smartie give me this message:

Code: Select all

Load of plugin failed: Plugin xbmc.dll had an exception during Init: External exception E0434F4D

The Rapidshare link to the newer version is no longer valid, due to lack of activity, and I am unable to find it elsewhere..

Does anyone have a link to a newer one?

I love XMBC and i also love LCD Smartie. Getting them to work together would be awesome.

thanks
