I posted a while back about adding support in Smartie to read the I2C bus on the newer MatrixOrbital devices (this is done in a simular way to reading the keypad)...

but Back then the devs (Limbo??) said don't do it yet because a new version is around the corner... Well that was too late I had already done it...Anyway, If I were to upgrade to 5.4b, firstly is the source available (cvs I guess?) secondly with this new display driver plugin, would I be able to modify just Matrix.dll and add the support to that... I suspect not, as the main program would have to be aware of the sensor values so it can actually display them?
Thirdly is no one else interested in reading these things - I find that hard to belive since its a great feature of the MatrixOrbital LCD's (it's why I got one). I have 6 temperature sensors connected scattered around the house - to display and log temperatures...
Once again, I'm willing to do this work myself (its not alot) if I have to, or I can provide delphi samples to the devs on how to do this... I dont really care if I have the only version that can do this if thats what you wish - but that seems a shame for the comunity. Eeek I suspect my Delphi trial period is over now... oh well... Virtual machines here we come!
