Which version of Smartie are you using? If you have Delphi 6/7 at home, try building a copy out of CVS and see if that works. If not, I should have a release candidate for 5.3.2 up tomorrow. Try that and let me know if it works.

My apologies, it sounded like you had version 3.2.17 of inpout.dll. I'm afraid you have a very old version of Smartie. The current beta is 5.3.2, though the one you see on the website does not have the x64 support in it. I will be posting 5.3.2-rc1 (release candidate) tomorrow, and that will have the 64-bit support. Give that a shot and see if it works.

now you can use this library:

http://www.highrez.co.uk/Downloads/InpOut32/default.htm

works great with smartie 5.3.2 on x64.

Glad it works finally - I missed a few obviouse bugs, and thankfully them0n helpd me see the light :)

Anyway, its working now as you can see, with existing LCSSmartie, and the next version should allow use of InpOut32 without renaming it - which will make it even easier for those of use with parallel ports...

The next issue will be x64 Vista support - which, If I beleive correctly, may be a bit more difficult, because x64 drivers will need to be "signed" in vista - which I believe will put a stop to a lot of OSS style projects relying on drivers like InpOut :(

You can also name the file correctly in the zip package so that we dont have to rename it.

I could, but that might not go down too well with the people that actually produced DLPortIO... Im not sure that their license agreemnents state, but for me to distribute a DLL with that name, is probably not a good idea..

Especially as it only had 2 of the funcitons that DLPortIO has (the two that LCD Smartie uses)...

And anyway - where would the LCD Smartie team get the motivation to use the newer DLL :) hehe
