Another suggestion to the future of LCDSmartie is in configuration support drivers with an easy development for another types of displays... serials and parallels... VFD or not... and anything else...
The first driver must be for IEE S03601-96-080 2 x 40 VFD
This is definitely our first priority. I would also like to see a restructuring, such that not only different LCDs, but data inputs and actions would all become plugins, making it very easy to develop these without having to release new versions of LCDSmartie each time.
Rest assured, we are actively working on this. I hope to see something like this within the next few months, but that will have to wait until we can get everybody organized.
