I've been a follower and user of LCDSmartie for years, would love to see some new releases and updates for modern OS's.
The other thing I have been poking at, I have 2 LIS system indication panels, one is LCD and the other is VFD. They connect via serial. When I try to use the plugin in smart for them, the lcd version looks like it keeps resetting itself and the VFD starts spewing gibberish.
I'm on Windows 7 64 bit, any ideas ?

You need to try and get details of the model numbers of these displays before anyone could help diagnose what's up.
