I have been trying to download LCDSmartie fro sourceforge but Windows Defender keeps deleting it detecting a trojan/malware. Anyone else had this problem?

I can ensure you, the program is clean.
You can check by yourself using virus total service.

However this doesn't mean that your system is not infected by a different source.
If you running internet connection though a proxy or if your web browser runs a dodgy plugin on background your system may download other files as well.
Please consider checking your system thoroughly.

Sorry, I forgot to check back here for replies.

I tried downloading LCD Smartie from 3 different computers at home the night I made this post, one was a mac although I also downloaded the windows version from it. All reported the downloaded file as infected as per my original post. The following day however when I re downloaded, the files scanned clean.

I have ran a number of different scan on my computers since just to check and all are clean. No idea what happened, could have been an issue with Source Forge but all seems fine now.

For some reason eset doesn't trust it either. Maybe some sort of false positive.
