Hello All,
I've have a radiant system point of sale with windows xp installed. There's a vfd noritake GU140X16J-7000 connected to it trough a asort of telecom line.
The screen is working by the program udk10 from noritake so it works fine. BUt now i installed lcd smartie because i want to show the screen the winamp title.
I've connected the screen to lcd smartie and it is projecting characters. But only chinese characters.
Does somebody know's what to do?
Many Thanks,
Kind Regards,
Sjonnie

I think your display has a setable character set. All you have to do is look at the datasheet and see what the command is to change your current character set to USA/EUROPE. It will usually be a HEX command that you will have to send to the display module board. I have also seen some that have a set of DIP switches mounted on board to select character sets.
