Hi all. Maybe someone can help me out... Dug my old Pertelian out of storage.. trying to get it to work.
I had to set it like this:
TE ST
TEEST
TESTT
TEESTT
to get this:
TEST
TEST
TEST
TEST
Could the wiring be all broken? Is it a SERIAL/COM issue?

Re: Pertelian X2040
The baud rate may be set too high on the com port. So to change this go into the com port settings which should be in the hardware manager on your pc assuming you are using a Windows Operating System and change it there. Always start with 9600 and go up from there. Also if you can find a data sheet on your display, it will usually state in there what the baud rate should be set to. Also in there it will tell you all the other information that you need to set in the com port settings in the hardware manager. You also need to set this in smartie so they "get along and talk nicely" together. I hope this helps mate.
