Try to re-download the new verson on smartie, one or more of the files may have gotten corrupted whilst downloading.furioussgamer wrote:Windows 7 64 bits.

Re: I can't get v5.4.2.92++ to work
hello, i'm back with my problem but i have buy the official board and i use windows 8 x64 now.
So i have re-download the latest version of LCD Smartie but now the display seems to not be powered, no light!
I don't know why, i have just unsolder the board and inserted the new. When i have plug the board in the usb port the drivers seems to have been installed fine but i don't know which dll to choose! And i think it's not normal that the display seems to not be powered!
Sorry for my bad english
EDIT:

My previous board works correctly with the display, it is this display and board:

Please select the DS00HIDA display plugin.
Also make sure you adjust contrast and backlight to a suitable level.

Yes i have try the DS00HIDA plugin and the contrast and backlight are both at 50%. I have try with more and less without success.
EDIT:
This happens only with LCD Smartie 5.4, i don't have the DS00HIDA plugin in the 5.4 folder so i have copy and paste from the 5.4.2.92 folder to the 5.4 folder with no luck.
BUT The 5.4.2.92 don't work with my other board (but the display lights up), look my first post.

The official board should work out of the box with 5.4.2.92++ using the DS00HIDA plugin.
Does the board show up in device manager?
After you select the plugin, close and reopen lcdamartie. Do you get an error?
Does your official boars show any welcome message when first plugged in?

I don't see the board in device manager but maybe i missed something because i have HUBS. I look for VID_20A0&PID_3E10 but i don't find in device manager, i've find the VID/PID in Zentimo xStorage Manager that see when i plug/unplug the board!Does the board show up in device manager?

Re: I can't get v5.4.2.92++ to work
can you look for either:
VID 0x20a0 PID 0x3e10
VID 0x0403 PID 0xc630
VID 0x0403 PID 0xfc63
If you don't see either one of these in the device manager, the unit is not communicating with the PC.
Can you try a different USB port? diffent hub, connecting directly to the motherboard, different port on the mobo (some might be attached to the ICH some might be an additional USB controller)

Ok, i've found the VID 0x20a0 PID 0x3e10 in the device manager, not where i was looking previously...gorlik wrote:can you look for either:

I've try on each port on the back of the case and on the usb pin on the MB with this:gorlik wrote:If you don't see either one of these in the device manager, the unit is not communicating with the PC.

And the display never lights up.

If you can see the vid/pid in device manager you should not get the lcdsmartie error.
Can you confirm you still get the error message after selecting the da00hida.dll from the latest lcdsmartie zip file?
I'll compile a simple command line diags if you still have issues.
Also, just in case can you repeat the experiment above without a lcd plugged into the board?

Re: I can't get v5.4.2.92++ to work
Ok, so now everything works perfectly with windows 7 but not with windows 8.1!
The problem is if i close LCD smartie, when i relaunch LCD smartie the main window don't appears (but is in the task manager) and the screen don't lights up! I have to close LCD smartie, unplug the board, plug the board and launch LCD smartie!
Someone have had a similar issue with windows 8?
