Some letters doubles..

I have trouble -
letters on lcd doubles! like word RAM have two letters - RAAM or RRAM, RAMM...
why this can happen? :(

Hi,
You will need to give us more fetails of your setup before we can help
e.g. what kind of display, how is it connected, what are the settings in Lcdsmartie etc.

Its hd44780 2x16 with blue backlight. Connected via LPT1 and powered through USB. In settings only 2x16 and driver hd44780.dll, and lpt1 is checked - nothing else there.

Sounds like it could be a bad connection or noise on the Enaable, RS or R/W lines. I'd strongly suspect your wiring. Did you wire it yourself? If so thoroughly check it out. Could the cable be too long i.e. could it be picking up noise?

Other possibility is you are getting an issue because of a different earth (0v) on USB to the parallel port. Are they both on the same machine?

When i connected it - it was fine. After some hours such issue happen. I was making it myself. Cable about 1m. It connected to same PC and ground is the pc.

It ground wire fall from pin...
