SCALEO E / FUTABA HID Device

Hi,

I recently purchased a scaleo e htpc case.
I came with a futaba vfd and a driver that only makes use of the vfd in mce I would love to make use of the VFD outside of MCE and like the idea of lcdsmartie ...

I have been trying to get lcdsmartie to work , but without success ...

I was hoping anyone here could confirm that lcdsmartie works with my VFD , and if so , how do I configure LCDSmartie to display stuff on my VFD ?

please use default font size we can see smaller fonts as well.


do you know the connection type of the VFD to the mainmoard? Is there any device appearing under the device manager?

This VFD is USB HID Device: futaba DM-140GINK Demo. It works with MCE, Media Portal and DVBVIEWER (but it not work in Windows 7 x64).
It seems to work with LCDPROC on linux. I really like if someone can make a driver for lcdsmartie. I can help to test it :-).
The DM-140GINK includes is a combined device with the following functions:
a VFD, Wireless Network Interface (801.11 B/G usb device Ralink chipset RT2571WF ), Front Panel Keys
The module is a controlled by a Weltrend WT65F5 USB Micro controller.
The following machines have the DM-140GINK built in:
MSI_Media_Live
Hiper HMC-2K53A
FIC Spectra
Activy Media Center
Fujitsu Siemens Scaleo E, EV, EVi
