I don't suppose there's a plugin or something out there that can display a couple of tracks before and after the current so you can see what's next to play, maybe with some way of highlighting the current track.

no nothing's supporting this for now....

I have seen this supported for winamp in a remote command plugin (this means that its possible) but when winamp is configured for random play its a mess....

anyway this is a good idea!

Yeah, if Winamp's set to random it wouldn't be much use. I'm trying to get a car PC running and am after a convenient way of playing what I want with the LCD.

Just one more question: Is there a way to start a string of characters from a particular place on a line.

So, for example, if you use the time playing followed by something else the something else would always be in the same place regardless of the length of the time string.
