Frustrated with plugins!

Post by Bill R. »

Hello,

I am trying to get Aida64 plugin to work but it keeps saying it's missing MSVCR71.dll. I am really new to all this, however I don't know if I am doing this right anyway. Am I supposed to download and (if necessary) unzip to the plugins directory? And when I load smartie just use the commands listed? Or does it add a tab? I wish there was a newbie section or someone that can spell it out for me. All I am wanting to do is monitor my temps - Northbridge, Southbridge, MB, CPU, ect...

Any and all help is greatly appreciated...

I followed the link to msvcp##.dll and looked up the one causing my problems - MSVCP71.dll and extracted it the areas suggested by the site as well as some comments suggested by others. Still getting the error message. The only thing I want this display to do is monitor NB, SB, CPU and Video temp. Speed fan doesn't report NB, SB or video. Even tried LCDC with no luck on monitoring AIDA64....

Any help is greatly appreciated.

That is where I downloaded it from. I am using Win 7 x64....the .dll file was already in the appropriate directory. I replaced it with the one I downloaded from that site. No luck either way.

Tried several variations with no result. Ended up deleting the whole LCDSmartie file and started over from scratch. Now it seems to be working well. Thank you for your help. I honestly appreciate it. :)

GPU temp is showing as "X". In fact everything relating to Graphics isn't showing up even though it does show up in AIDA. Any suggestions?

X means that the registry doesn't contain such value...
Check if your AIDA64 version supports export to "External Application" and if you have enabled this specific option.

In addition you can check what sensors are enabled to be exported...

I have the latest version of AIDA64 and checked...
"Enable shared memory"
"Enable writing sensor values to Registry"
"Enable writing sensor values to WMI"

I am receiving temperature values from everything else. Have there been any issues from ATI cards? AIDA shows the GPU temp, it's just not reporting it through LCD Smartie.

I found the problem. Just typing TGPU1DIO wasn't enough. Registry Editor has it listed as:
TGPU1DIOD -for GPU Diode (DispIO)
TGPU1DIOS -for GPU Diode (Shader)
TGPU1DIOM -for GPU Diode (MemIO)
