different buttons for diff screens

Is there any way for LCD Smartie to map different commands to the same button depending on what screen is displayed? Like I want Left and right on my LCD to go next and prev tracks when displaying the winamp screen, but to maybe act as a menu selection device when on another screen. is this possible?
