Hi everyone.
Hope someone can help me.
I recently purchased a HD44780 compatible controller.
Displaytech 202B 20x2. - PDF: http://www.displaytech.com.hk/upload/pr ... es-v20.pdf
Followed the parallel wiring diagram from the Smartie site.
Checked and rechecked all my connections via multimeter.
Installed port95, ran LCD Smartie and all I get is a single row of blocks..
Bios set to EPP, 378, EPP1.7. (Checked address in device manager as well)
Rewired the whole thing anyway. Rechecked connections via multimeter.
Tried Smartie 5.3. Reinstalled port95. Tried the whole setup on a different PC. Ran test apps
from the crystalfonts site. Even swapped db25 pin 16 to 17 (worked for someone else)
Changed Bios settings to ECP, EPP, SPP, and 378, 278 etc..
So, what's next?
Thanx in advance!

Re: Display Problems..
Seems to be KS066 compatible that in turn is HD compatible. Just hope that it is compatible enough. Try increasing the delay a little.
If you're using Vista 32/64, XP 64 or Win 7 32/64 you must use inpout32 instead of port95nt.

Re: Display Problems..
If I read it correctly, it's ST7066U A0-B, which they say is the same type they use for the crystalfonts lcd's.
I agree, hopefully it's compatible enough. I have tried different timings. (1-5). Running windows7 32-bit.
So, uninstall port95 and the inpout32 I found is a .dll. Should I copy that into windows/system32
or am I missing a .exe installer?

Re: Display Problems..
You still have to run the installer I believe or else it can't work.
Installer.exe should be in the 32bit folder if I remember it right.
