LCD Smartie and Crystalfontz 634

I have a problem. I tried to connect the LCDSmartie to me 634 and I get the following error

...

Failed to open device: Failed to open COM3: #5: Access is denied.

Any help is appreciated.

LCD Smartie cannot access the port.

One reason is another program running and had this port occupied Com3. Kill any other com port client.
Another is an non-existent port setting. Check your com port settings!
