Help needed setting up a test driver serial display (noob)

Hi there,
I bought this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0168575734 as i was getting too many errors with my homemade parallel header to display cable. I'm also running Windows 7 x64

However, none of the drivers in LCD smartie work, so i guess i'm using the test driver.

Have searched the forums and web for this serial adapter an have found nothing. No results returned even in google!

Could someone please point me in the right direction for creating a test driver?

Do i have to create a separate test driver.ini file in the lcd smartie directory, or do i just add a [test driver] section in the config.ini? There seems to be some conflicting information on this. I'm using version 5.4 official at the moment.

I have tested the device with hyperterminal and can write data to the display, so i'm assuming my wiring is correct.
