CPU usage not working?

I am trying to read CPU usage with $CPUUsage%, but it always returns 0. It was working fine, then one day stopped.

Anyone else had this?

Yes, me too.

I have the same problem in two different machines: a portable DELL Latitude D510 and an Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe nForce4 Motherboard. Both run XP SP-2....

any idea ??

Have you stopped by any chance the Windows Management Instrumentation process? This causes the loss of performance data logging ability aka all things such as cpu usage, hard disk r/w speeds, network speeds etc.

This is also a common problem in "custom" XP installation discs.

It does appear to be WMI related.
