LK204-7T-1U display support

Post by caesar »

I have started implementing support for this display in LCDSmartie.

The latest test version is available at: http://czi.uni.cc/LCDSmartie/Smartie-tricolor.zip

Due to the nature of changes, a display plugin is not enough. A new version of LCDSmartie is needed.

If you have any reports to submit, questions or ideas please write them here!

Changelog:

15-09-2008: Added UP and DOWN buttons in the Actions tab.
15-09-2008: Changed a little the window titles to 5.4 beta so nobody confuses the versions.

12-09-2008: Added Insert button in the Actions tab.

11-09-2008: Added Replace button in the Actions tab.

05-09-2008: Keypad light now toggles together with the backlight.

03-09-2008: Added text boxes to show the color values. Helps defining custom colors for the actions command ;)
03-09-2008: Changed matrix.dll to also stop the keypad backlight when exiting Smartie

02-09-2008: Added an action to change the backlight color.
02-09-2008: Added keypad brightness setting in the Screen tab in LCDSmartie Display Settings section

01-09-2008: Added basic tricolor support and setup in a new tab in LCDSmartie Display Settings section. The new tab is named Color.

New version uploaded.

- Keypad light now toggles together with the backlight.

Will move keypad backlight off on shutdown from matrix.dll to LCDSmartie and make it user selectable together with backlight on the Shutdown message page. Will create there a shutdown actions place.

Maybe some users will prefer to see a shutdown message in some color with backlight on but keep the keypad light off ;)

You can help me test this version even if you don't own the tricolor Matrix Orbital display as improvements will be made to Smartie too very soon!
See here for improvement proposals: http://forums.lcdsmartie.org/viewtopic. ... highlight=
Any other testers are welcome - 2000, 2k3, 64bits and Vista too!

I am testing this new version on a 32bit Win XP machine and have it running for 28 hours without a glich with the tricolor display.

PS: Hope that limbo will get his display soon.

Added Insert button in the actions tab. Correcting and modifying complex actions is a treat now.

I will add move up and move down for Actions and then will take care of the other requests.

Move Up and Down buttons have been added in the Actions tab.
Actions should be done now, until the next major version 6.

Caesar, this is awesome!! I have been trying to figure out an easy way to change the color of my LK204, and now I can do it from right within LCD Smartie... so perfect that I found this post!! You should make this beta version more visible on your website as I'm sure there are many others who would benefit from these new features... thanks again for a great app!
