Hello All, looking for developers

Post by Henry_MO »

Hello All LCD Smartie users! It's been many years since I have stopped by (as you can tell by my registration date) and many more years since I worked with BasieP on LCD Smartie. The reason for my dropping by is that we are releasing a new 5.25" bay insert unit and we are looking for a few testers as well as developers to add support for this new unit into LCD Smartie... so with out further delay, here it is:

Here are some pictures of the graphic version on my desk:

Some of the features now:

*USB Interface
*7 key white backlit keypad
*Colours: Yellow Green, Inverse Blue, Gray/White, and Negative Tri-Colour
*3x dual Colour LEDs as Indicator lights
*Black 5.25" bay insert

So, if you have time and energy and would like a unit to add support to LCD Smartie please drop me a line![/list]

Welcome back!

Nice idea for inverting the pixels and using RGB leds for background, it should get a killer display!

You can count me in as a developer and tester.

Thanks for the e-mails everyone... all the parts should arrive mid next week, so a few days after that they will ship... also, I expect everyone will want the internal USB cable...

Great news!

And you are right about the internal USB cable, most of us have plenty of USB-A to USB-mini-B cables anyway if we want to test it outside the case.

Thanks!

Just seen today that the documentation and the display are available on MO.com.
Are you still interested to get the new features supported by Smartie?

100% I put in orders into our system yesterday and expect units to ship out early next week to everyone I have been in touch with.

Ok, thanks for the info.
We'll have to stress test the new features and prepare an update to smartie. Tri-color looks really nice and will have an important place!
