I've bought some 2x20 displays off ebay, but they are EL backlit. So far the EL drivers i've found use difficult-to-find transformers or surface mount chips, or cost more than the LCD did. Anybody got any ideas?
(I did dismantle a cheap fluorescent light for it's inverter, but I only had one light, and I have three more EL displays!)
