Smartie and standby

Post by johnny50 »

Using version 5.4. I have an Ahanix MCE301 whose parallel LCD interface I converted to USB. No more garbled data, all works well. But if I put the PC in S3 standby mode, many times coming out of standby gives me an error message about not being able to find or load imond.dll. Smartie works every time, except when the PC comes out of standby. Any ideas why?

You need 5.4.1. There was an error in 5.4 with restarting drivers.

I have the same setup and the new version did not fix it for me. After coming out of standby I still get that message and the imon indicator says it cannot communicate with the device. If I disable smartie I have no problems.

I assume you mean imon.dll, I could not get that one to work.

Yea, me too. 5.4.1 does the same thing. Trying to use imon.dll gives me an error message:

Failed to open device: DLL initialize error: Imon.dll exception: <sg_vfd.dll> not found!

Gotta specify the complete path to sg_vfd.dll in the startup parameters.

Hi there. I have an MCE301 and am using the original parralell interface. I too get garbled data when resuming from standby. Is there any trickery in the way you converted parallel to USB or is there simply some adaptor I can buy off the shelf?

Thanks in advance.
