No Test Bars

Hello ,
I just wired up a 20x4 LCD parallel.When hooked to power there is only the backlight ,no test bars.It is wired right,as I have built three of them now and all worked.I anyone could shed some light on this .Thanks in advance,Dennis

I had used another style of 10K pot ,so I put the one on that came with the LCD kit.It works perfect now.A big thanks for the help,Dennis
