CF-635, Brightness/Contrast problem

Great program, now that I'm delving into some of the more arcane features I'm loving it!

I found one bug which may need fixing at some point - the brightness/contrast control settings for crystalfontz displays do not work with my CF-635 USB display. Currently I've tried Smartie 5.3 and am now running 5.3.2 beta, both had the same problem. I have to set the brightness/contrast manually with CF's WinTest program and then start Smartie; changing the settings in configuration or manually inputting them into the config file do not have any effect on the display. :?
