Another post up problem

Post by Nickman »

Hi. I have reasently bought and solderd a LCD (http://www.fractronics.com/4x20bla_new.shtml) to my LPT port.
I too have problems getting it past post startup.
Im running WinXP and have port95 installed.

I get the 2 white line on the display but cant get it to show any text.

Bios settings: EPP, 378, IRQ 7
LCDSmartie: HD44780, 4x20, port 378

Tried the Timing multiplier to 5 and have tripple checked my soldering with a multimeter.

The only thing that makes the display react in some way is the "Use KS0073 addressing" option. If i turn that on the display light the last three lines of the once that was off before.
