Cell phones have graphical displays.
You can't use these :smt018 LCDs with smartie since the program can drive character type LCDs

You want to be able to use it with smartie? You would need to use a microcontroller with custom firmware. I dont know what other programs (if any) could use it directly.

There are several software driving graphical LCDs...
but in any case connecting cell a phone's display to a PC it's a real pain! you must have some electronics experience at least on soldering parts! :D

In the other hand LCD Smartie is the most friendly LCD Software (and it's also open source).

Why don't you try to get your self a character LCD? :D

I know how to solder. and I have the basic understanding of electronics... but microcontroller is too much for me...

The new LCD-Smartie supports Display-Driver DLLs... so it should be possible to support almost any LCD (graphical and character). Some time ago i tried to figure out howto write such a DLL but i failed... might be a problem with calling-convention. LCD-Smartie just hangs when i try to load my DLL.
