Hi!
I really hope someone has the answer to this...
I'm running WinXP, and I have a Zalman HD160 with a 2x16 VFD connected directly to the USB connection on the motherboard (ASUS P4C800 Deluxe).
The case uses IRTrans to control the remote control and the VFD.
I downloaded LCD Smartie, chose 2x16 lines, checked the IR Trans box, and said yes, when it asked if it should load the IR Trans plugin...
Then the program freezes.... Still nothing but the standard date & time on my vfd display.
I have to Ctrl+Alt+Del to close LCD Smartie, and afterwards, the program freezes instantly apon startup (probably because its trying to connect to IR Trans again)....
I've noticed others having exactly the same problems, but I cant find a solution anywhere...
Help ?

Hi...Fast351 wrote:Try the 5.4 RC2 version. It's on the LCD Smartie website over at SourceForge.
Can you check which version of the IRTrans server you're running? I have this exact setup at home (IRTrans server/LCD Smartie) and it works fantastic.

Thanks for the quick reply...
I'm running IRTrans vers. 1.4.0.1
I'll try the RC2 version... it's a beta, right?

Okay...
I extracted LCDsmartie 4.5 RC2 to a folder on my desktop, ran the .exe, chose Irtrans in the plugin menu (upper right corner), chos 2x16 lines, and clicked apply... A small box appears in the center of the screen and LCD smartie freezes... until a box appears showing an error message saying "it seems that your program is not responding".
help...
