When I run windows xp I have no problems, but I'm trying the Vista beta 2, and I get the error message "cannot find usbport.dll" every time I try to start lcdsmartie. I tried the Final and the latest beta, both say they cannot find usbport.dll. I copied it from windows/system32/ to the lcdsmartie home folder and the plugins folder, as well as the /windows folder, but with no change. Is there anything I can do to persuade lcdsmartie to find it? Perhaps a change to the registry?
Note: I have the latest palm desktop version installed, and it cannot hotsync, but the device manager has the palm listed, and claims no problems.
Any thoughts? Has vista been confimed as working for any usb palms?

Have you tweaked the User Account Control? (disable it)
